Due to today's extreme heat the Santos Tour Down Under race route has been shortened which means only one loop around Victor Harbor. There will still be plenty of action down on Warland Reserve with our 'Encounter It All' Tourism Village open from 10am, along with the Victor Harbor Mainstreet Precinct 'Find the Bikes' competition.
The Santos Tour Down Under will roll into Victor Harbor this Thursday! Come on down to Warland Reserve from 10am and check out our ‘Encounter It All’ Tourism Village with wine tastings from the Langhorne Creek Wine and Grape Association, Kondoli the Inflatable Whale and displays from local tourism businesses including The Big Duck Boat Tours, Oceanic Victor, Waitpinga Farm Quad Bike Adventures, Ocean Living Surf School and the Horse Tram. You can also check out the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor Art Show or perhaps take the kids on the Victor Harbor Mainstreet Precinct ‘Find the Bikes’ competition! The professional cyclists are expected to arrive in Victor Harbor around 1.30pm before looping around town THREE times and finishing on The Esplanade opposite Warland Reserve. Did you know the Victor Harbor Art Show is Australia’s largest outdoor art exhibition? This year’s exhibition opened over the weekend, and will run until Saturday, 20 January 2018 on Warland Reserve. It will be open daily from 9.30am until 8.30pm, so there is plenty of time to check it out. If you live in rural Victor Harbor and your regular kerbside collection falls on a Monday, please be aware that your bins will be collected one day earlier for the next two collections. Instead of being collected on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, your bins will be collected on Sunday, 24 December and Sunday, 31 December. Remember, your bins need to be out the night before of before 5.30am on the day of collection.
