FITMAS TIP #20 - Remember How Good Your Body is Designed to Feel! We all know that guilty feeling that comes with skipping a workout. Reminding yourself of the physical feelings of training (or not training) can often be enough to get you motivated to exercise! If you're toying with the idea of skipping your session, try to remind yourself how tired, stiff & crappy you feel when you don't hit the gym or go for a walk/run and it should be enough to help drag yourself out of bed & get it done!

FITMAS TIP # 19 - Be Prepared Get your workout clothes out ready to put on. Have your shoes & socks ready to go. Earphones, water bottle, hat, & whatever else will serve as a visual reminder to motivate you to not skip your workout! Trust in the fact that you'll be glad later in the day when you don't have to feel guilty about not exercising!!

FITMAS TIP #18 - Stand More Than You Sit No matter what, always find ways to avoid sitting down for long periods of time. Christmas parties or social gatherings can often mean sitting around for lengthy amounts of time chatting & of course, eating, but be sure to be aware of how long you are staying seated for & make a conscious effort to be moving around & on your feet as much as possible.

It's the best way to de-stress over what can be a very stressful period - plus it might tire the kids out enough that they stay out of your hair for a little while too ;)
