Setch had some fun creating a 3D model of a Truck and Trailer for a client. Every inch of the trailer had to be completely saturated in scan data in order to achieve an accurate component capable of being printed in 3D.

This week in the Setch Design office we have been finalising the design and details on a new roll-out hydraulically operated Grizzly and the associated gantry, trolley frame, platforms and guarding works. The drawing set contains 40+ General Arrangement and Detail Drawings. A complete laser scan of the area was conducted to capture the as-built condition of the existing structure so that we could accurately model the modification works.
Truck and Trailer Model
Setch had some fun creating a 3D model of a Truck and Trailer for a client. Every inch of the trailer had to be completely saturated in scan data in order to achieve an accurate component capable of being printed in 3D.
Shiploader Dust Containment Project
Setch Design were engaged to extend an existing under pan and add sealing 'muffs' to solve dust leakage issues on a ship loader. To capture dimensional data Setch utilised laser scanning to provide the information required to design & model a solution to a geometrically complex problem - all without requiring isolation of the plant or scaffolding. Our 3D modelling techniques enabled us to effectively communicate design work with the client to ensure the end result was exactly as required.

Bypass Screen Underpan Detailing
Setch Design completed the modification works to the Bypass Scalping Screen Chute, to allow a new larger scalping screen to be installed. The works included; laser scanning, modelling of chute and wear liners and developement of detail drawings.
Reclaim Screw Feed System
SETCH Completed the detailed design of a Reclaim Screw Feeder System which included; multiple chutes, trouser legs, a bag slitter and a hopper. SETCH completed laser scanning of the area to ensure the reclaim system fit perfectly in amongst the existing equipment.
