Zone Martial Arts
Description
At Zone Martial Arts we believe that martial arts are for everyone, regardless of age, gender or current fitness level. Zone Martial Arts is a Sutherland Shire Martial Arts school teaching Korean Martial Arts.
We focus on traditional Taekwondo (WTF), Haidong Gumdo (sword martial art), Self Defence and Tournaments to round out our students skills and empower them to defend themselves if required.
We encourage all our students to develop strong mindsets alongside strong bodies to tackle all the obstacles they will face in life whether physical or mental.

There is a lot planned for ZMAX this year but it's important you set your own goals as well. Together though we can achieve anything. We have classes on Saturday only for most of January then back to normal schedule on Monday the 30th. I look forward to seeing you on the floor soon.

With great sadness I need to let you know of the passing of one of our students at ZMAX, Steve Cachia. Steve trains in our Gumdo classes with his wife Elaine. Some found him intimidating when they first met him but you would be hard pressed to find a friendlier, nicer bloke. He was always willing to lend a hand though and it was my honour to be best man at his wedding and my privilege to call him a friend. He only found out a month ago that he was sick and he lost his cancer battle on Christmas Eve, passing peacefully in his sleep. A service will be held on Friday the 30th of December at Sylvania Uniting Church and Elaine has asked if we could organise a sword guard so if any Gumdo student is able to help out, please contact me. Finally our thoughts are with Elaine and the family at this time. We offer you our support and love and if you need anything, please reach out to us. Goodbye Steve, we will miss you brother.

We ended 2016 with a bang. Two days of gradings with students in Taekwondo and Gumdo going for Black Belt Dan grades as well as many successful colour belt gradings. It was a great weekend and the leadership team are so proud of everyone
ZMAX Christmas BBQ at Woronora 2016
The weather is looking good for the Christmas party tomorrow at Woronora. I will have sausage sandwiches but if you want something different its BYO. Also, bring picnic rugs and outdoor chairs. See you all on Sunday.
