Gwawley Bay Football Club is a volunteer organisation supporting both junior and senior players & located not far from Southgate Shopping Centre, Sylvania. Gwawley Bay Football Club is a volunteer organisation located not far from Southgate Shopping Centre, Sylvania. The club focuses on player development through the use of professional coaching and organised grading and training to ensure all players play in the most appropriate grade for their age and skill.
GBFC also run a very successful and highly regarded summer soccer competition in the off-season.
GBFC relies heavily on volunteers to carry out various tasks during and in-between the seasons. As part of a team you will be required to help your coach and manager on occasions during your daughter/son’s game of football. This may be setting up and packing up of team equipment, at game time, ground duty in the morning or afternoon, or canteen and BBQ duty. BBQ and canteen duty is not onerous and is usually only required once per season. Any small contribution you can make over the rostered duty would be greatly appreciated - if you feel you have something to offer please email a committee member via committee11 @ gwawleybay.com.
Note that all Coaches and Managers involved with any Junior team must fill out and return the Prohibited Employment Declaration to the GBFC Committee before starting.

GIRLS ONLY FREE SKILLS TRAINING NIGHT Sutherland Shire Football Association is conducting another free skills training night for girls only to attend. This will be the second session this season. Date: Wednesday May 18th 2016 Venue: Harrie Denning Football Centre, Bates Drive, Kareela. Times: There will be 2 Coaching sessions with: • Under 9 to Under 10 at 6pm till 7-15pm • Under 11 to Under 15 at 7-30pm till 8-45pm Cost: Free Presenters: The sessions will be presented by Sutherland Shire FA Women’s Premier League players & coaches with the assistance of the SSFA Football Manager- Jon Long. The format of the session will see the girls rotate through 4 skill stations each one focussing on 1 of the 4 core football skills. There will also be Goalkeeping sessions. To ensure the session quality is maintained at a high level places in each session will be limited to the first 80 applicants. Coaches are welcome to attend and observe. If anyone has football boots that they no longer want in good condition, please let us know. We are starting a football boot pool for those that may not be able to afford the price of a new pair. All sizes required, mens womens and childrens. For anyone who still require boots please let us know your size and we can advise what we have. Thankyou in advance 😊

During the off season, the SSFA have been working hard creating an "app" so information can be communicated to its Clubs and their players in an easily accessible way. The app is called "Gopha". In this app it will tell you all the latest SSFA news, draws, results, tables, 2016 rule book, contact details and so much more. Below is step by step instructions on how you can download the app (Apple &/or Android users) and keep up to date with the latest information coming from the association. Can we please remind all players and parents if throughout the season you have any questions, they are to continue being directed to the Gwawley Bay committee and not contact the SSFA directly?

In 2015 they finished Minor Premiers and also took out the Premiership winning 2 – 0 in their Grand Final.
