Ready to come home! Chico will be coming home this afternoon - we are elated and still overwhelmed with all that's happened the past week, but so happy with how far he has come ❤️ We cannot thank you enough for your love & support

Chico has just now come out of surgery - Awake and as you can see hungry and ready to keep on fighting ❤️ The surgery was challenging but a success 🙏🏼 The next 24 hours are critical to his recovery Continue to keep him in your hearts and prayers 💛💛💛💛

Chico is being prepped for surgery now and will undergo a seemingly minor heart surgery - but all surgeries aren't without risk so please keep him in your prayers 🙏🏼😊 They will be going in and removing the Pericardium sack from around the heart as Scans show clear trauma and abrasion to the Pericardium from either a foreign body which is no longer present or from a pericardial cyst that ruptured (which is more common in most dogs than not) Surgeons will strip that back, flush out his heart area and while they are in there explore for any other signs of problem Pray for the little man that he gets through this and remains strong enough to keep fighting through the next week of his recovery!
