St Matthew's ESL Class
Description
Shenton Park St. Matthew's Anglican Church runs weekly English as a second language(ESL) classes. These classes are open to anyone visiting or living in Australia who would like to improve their English language ability. The classes are held on Wednesdays in school terms from 9am to 12 noon. The classes are for beginner, intermediate or advanced level English. There is one teacher and usually a helper for each class. Students pay $4 per week to cover the cost of materials and morning tea. Friendly teachers and extra social activities mean that newcomers to Australia have an opportunity to make friends as well as to improve their English.
