Boolarong Press, established in 1976, is a commercial trade publisher with a focus on non-fiction, in particular history, biographies and Australiana children's books. Boolarong is one of only two Queensland members of the Australian Publishers Association. Where manuscripts don't quite fit with our main focus, we do offer publishing services that will assist authors have their manuscript transformed into books or ebook

The River was launched by Phil Brown, Arts Editor of The Courier Mail last night at Avid Reader. He recalled how his early life on the Nerang River provided many metaphors which he could relate. This long poem reflects the time when the Brisbane River was the lifeblood of the community, then we abused it and now have rediscovered it.
