The true essence of yoga is about experiencing and expressing the union of mind, body, and spirit. As we deepen our mindfulness of breath, move with awareness of our bodies, and invite our spirit to be free, our yoga practise comes off the mat and into our lives. We find ourselves mentally and emotionally stronger when facing life’s challenges. We become more courageous and brave, and when we find ourselves in an 'awkward position', we discover that we can breathe deeply and access peace.
Staying centered means keeping your conscious focus on the 'here and now', remaining in the present moment, between past and future.
