Description
We are a Paediatric Occupational Therapy practice located in the heart of Rockhampton. We offer assessment and therapy for children, no referral needed. Therapy works for kids is a Paediatric Occupational Therapy practice for toddlers, kindy, prep and primary school children. It is also the home of the multi-sensory literacy program, Write2Spell2Read Literacy Program, developed by Experienced Occupational Therapist and Certified Neuro-developmental Therapist Sam Woods.
Our specialist team of experienced Occupational Therapists provide therapy to maximize your child's development in the areas of:
- Sensory Processing and Intergration
- Attention, Concentration,Memory and Organization
- Planning and coordination
- Gross motor skills
- Fine Motor skills
- Visual Perceptual skills
- Auditory and Visual Working Memory
- Self-care skills
- Toileting
- Social skills
- Play
- Repetitive or restrictive Autistic behaviours
- Letter and number formation
- Handwriting, Spelling, and Expressive Writing

Children do not need a diagnosis or referral to see us, and we are registered under the Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) and Better Start for Children with Disabilities funding. We also accept other funding options include Private Health rebates, and care plans which provide you with a Medicare rebate - an Enhanced Primary Care plan (EPC) or Pervasive Developmental Disorder plan (PDD). Contact your GP or paediatrician to see if your child is eligible for these fundings.
