St Stephen's is a Catholic school in the heart of Reservoir. We are proud of our strong tradition of developing tomorrows leaders embedded in Gospel Values St Stephen’s is a Catholic Primary School providing a quality Catholic Education for children in Reservoir East. Our school community is characterised by Gospel values, and the teachings of Jesus Christ are central to our community. Our school motto, “Reaching Beyond” forms the cornerstone of the school and encourages all members of our community to take risks and embrace challenges.
We aim to inspire our students to want to learn through a diverse and engaging curriculum. Religious education is an integral part of our daily teaching, along with a short daily meditation in each class. We have both a Literacy and Maths Block where students are taught essential skills to be lifelong learners. St Stephen’s also offers Literacy and Maths Intervention programs as well as Specialist classes in Italian, Science and ICT.
We believe that the social and emotional wellbeing of our children is of the utmost priority. Students have the opportunity to foster leadership through the Student Representative Council. A Student Wellbeing Leader guides the students in fostering and promoting our school values.
At St Stephen’s we value parental engagement. We believe the education of the whole child cannot occur without the support of parents and their involvement in their children’s education. We endeavour to promote and maintain effective interactions between students, parents, parish and the wider community.
St Stephen’s is a school of various cultural backgrounds, religions and occupations, the very diversity of which broadens the outlook of all members of our community and is responsible for the atmosphere of acceptance which characterizes our school.

Just found out that Sunday last week was the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution - that our school was named after (St Stephen of Hungary). John F Kennedy described it, one year on as "a day of courage, conscience and triumph.... whatever the odds against success, whatever the sacrifice required."
Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. A reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on MONDAY and TUESDAY. School will resume on WEDNESDAY. Good luck with the races!

What a fantastic day! The year 3-6 children went to Science works - the children were extremely well behaved and the staff at the venue made a number of very positive comments!! Keep up the great work St Stephen's!!
