Redland Bay parkrun
Description
Redland Bay parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk put on by the community for the community at 7am every Saturday morning in Redland Bay, Queensland. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan.
Redland Bay parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful Bayside location and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!
Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

One more sleep until parkrun day. Don’t forget to bring a friend and come help celebrate some major milestones. Cake is baked, volunteer vests are washed so all we need now is you. See you at 6.45am for first timers brief and 6.50am for our run brief and don’t forget those barcodes.
It’s ‘Bring a Friend’ week at parkrun this Saturday so you’re all invited to bring your friend(s) and if they haven’t been to a parkrun event before, let’s introduce them to our Saturday morning ritual. Look at all these wonderful friends we have in our community. This week we have a couple of major milestones to celebrate, so there will even be cake! Don’t forget your barcode, and if you’re bringing a friend, ask them to register for their barcode at www.parkrun.com.au/register/ Mark | Run Director

Who knew? Apparently today is International Dog Day - a day to celebrate the difference our canine companions make in our lives. With it being 'bring a friend' week at parkrun this coming Saturday, perhaps you could bring your four-legged buddy along (on a short leash, of course) to join our celebrations (we have some very special milestones!). Your two-legged buddies are very welcome as well. 😀🚶♀️🚶♂️ In between now and then, may your furry friends help you stay happy and healthy. 🐕🐾 Cheryl | Event Director
Our volunteer roster for this week is so close to full.... I have one spot left and am looking for an eager beaver to join me as our Barcode Scanner.... can YOU help? As you can see, there are also a few vacancies in the upcoming weeks so if you can help me by being this weeks Barcode Scanning Superstar or any of the other roles in future weeks, I’d love to hear from YOU. Remember behind every successful parkrun is a team of awesome volunteers! Mark | Run Director
We wish all of our parkrun people participating in tomorrow's Bridge to Brisbane the very best - stay safe and have a great run! If you're missing a jacket, we may have it in our lost property pile ..... please let us know if one of these items belongs to you. Cheryl | Event Director
