Pilates classes at Redhead Beach SLSC.  Pilates classes are run by Suzie O'Hazy, Physiotherapist, who has run Pilates classes for 16 years in Sydney and in Newcastle for the last 8 years. These Pilates classes  are suitable for anyone, male or female from 18 years upwards.  They are mat Pilates classes and are suitable for any level of fitness allowing a beginner and intermediate level of workout.  

Pilates is a physical conditioning exercise routine along with stretches designed to strengthen the body while improving flexibility and inner awareness. The exercises are performed on a mat with no impact involved.  In the same class you can work at a beginner or intermediate level based on how you position your body.  

The benefits at the classes at Redhead of improved strength and flexibiltiy are noticed after a short period with changes often felt after one class.  Pilates is also helpful in preventing and rehabilitating from back injury, particularly with the guidance of a physiotherapy trained instructor.  

The classes are held at the Redhead SLSC function room overlooking the beautiful Redhead Beach, upstairs in the Club house (entrance is the left door as you approach the building from the car park).  

The class times are every Tuesday at 9.30am and Wednesday at 5.30pm, for an hour duration.  You will need to bring your own mat and water.  The classes can be paid per session at $20,  $80 for a five session pack (to use the sessions within 8 weeks) and  $140 for a ten session pack (to use the sessions within 15 weeks).  Classes may be claimable through your health funds, however it is advisable to check with your health fund first.

Classes will be run over the school holidays as usual, both the tuesday 9.30 am and the wednesday 5.30 pm classes, each week so if you;ve got some spare time in the holidays come and join us. The life savers have started their beach patrol this week so if your game, you can follow the class with a swim!
