Weekly round up The children have been having a fantastic time learning through their interest topics this week. The Joeys room have followed on from their handwashing to include teeth brushing with some interesting tooth brush painting. The Possum children have been making some dinosaur habitats. The Koalas room children have begun to create their alphabet display as a follow up from their obsession with the 'abcd song'. The Penguins room children are continueing with their number learning with the use of different items to count with including clay, sticks, straws and everyone favourite cookie ingredents :). The Emus Room chldren have celebrated Super Hero week in create their own accessories and face painting Friday.

Dear Families, You may have heard on the news that some childcare centres are planning 'strike action' this coming Thursday the 7th of September, 2017. Although we support the campaign for professional wages and profession recognition within our industry, we will NOT be 'striking' at Create Imagine Learn Queanbeyan on Thursday and we will be operating as per normal.

Introducing the newsest member of the CILQueanbeyan Team Jordan Room: Emus Room(4-5 year olds) Qualifications: Currently working towards his certificate 3 in early childhood education and care. Favourite Colour: Black & Gold Favourite Food: Coco Pops Interests & Hobbies: Sports & Games Favourite thing about Working at CILQueanbeyan: Getting to teach the older children sports and having fun in the playground. What made you get involved in Early childhood: My family is involved in early childhood and getting to work in an environment that involves having fun everyday. What's the most rewarding part of your position: Seeing all the smiles of the chldren's faces. What do you enjoy most about working with children: That I can feel like a big kid again.

This week at Create Imagine Learn Queanbeyan we made of use of the beautiful sunshine to move some of our indoor activities out into the playground. Children enjoyed playing 'What's the time Mr Wolf?' And making interesting sand creations with the wet sand. Fingers crossed the nice weather sticks around for next week 😊🌞
