And that they have the opportunities to grow to become the person they were created to be. By providing physical care and forming relationships we are then able to share and contribute in a way that is truly life changing and sow into lives spiritually. We are registered with the Australian Charities and not For Profits Commission with Tax Deductible Gift status

Last night we held our Christmas celebration thank you dinner. We enjoyed sharing the night with some of our volunteers who do such a fantastic job. We missed those of you who couldn't make it. So thankful for all we have been able to do through 2016 as we serve together.

So happy to welcome 2 new children to Doves Wings. These little ones will be cared for and nurtured and eventually be united with their Forever Families like 20 children before them. Living in a small group rather than a large institution makes such a difference. What about coming and serving on a mercy team in 2017? We have around 120 children, living in rural communities or universities who are part of our family. Our project team recently decided on Christmas gifts for all of them. The younger children are receiving a good blanket for the winter season and a few goodies packed up in a red bag. The older boys receive a vest/jacket and the girls a little more fashionable warm winter jacket. Then we deliver them which gets tricky now the snow has started falling. Please remember our guys as they make these trips. We want them to stay safe driving in these difficult conditions and hoping they have some great conversations with the kids and families. #HeartForKids #chinaheart #makeadifference

We hosted some members or our Indonesia project to the leadership summit in Bali today. I spent a few minutes chatting with these speakers and a good chat in the plane coming up with Peter Irvine (co-founder of Gloria Jeans) who was also speaking. Actually the girl in yellow was not part of our crew but just happened to be sitting with us. #makeadifference

We have the opportunity to host a group from our Home of Hope Indonesia project to a global summit on leadership this Saturday. Some really senior and experienced leaders from various countries including Australia are the speakers. It will be a great opportunity for these young future leaders to learn from some of the best. We'd love to take around 15 to 20 people but we're still building funds for this group. I took a few hours off this morning and visited the National Museum of Korea here in Seoul. I was having a look in one of their shops and heard 2 ladies speaking French, it surprised me for some reason so I looked up and saw that one of the ladies was Chinese. My mind went immediately to the place where I remembered we had some children adopted by families in Europe, not France but to Italy not too far away. Now those beautiful little Chinese kids are growing up learning and speaking Italian and will one day possibly surprise someone just like I was surprised this morning. Am constantly thankful to those families who have become Forever Families to kids from Doves Wings who were temporarily given to us to love and care for. #heartforkids #chinaheart #orphans #makeadifference

So thankful to our friends in Xian like Robyn, Susie, Coco and others who came to look after our Doves Wings kids so we could have a thank you dinner with nearlly all of our staff. It was a great time, even had a few impromptu songs and a customary bottle of pineapple fruit drink. I never know how to spell Gwarpi :-)
