Underwood Park parkrun
Description
Underwood Park parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk put on by the community for the community at 7am every Saturday morning at Underwood Pk, Priestdale a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan.
Underwood Park parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful park and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together
irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!
Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Female placings: Tara MAZUR (SW25-29) (Unattached) was first (5th overall) over the line in 23:26 - 10th time in 34 appearances. Leanne BICANIC (VW45-49) (Unattached) was second (18th overall) over the line in 26:05. Sandi MAXSTED (VW45-49) of Intraining, was third (19th overall) over the line in 26:25. The three highest age grades were recorded by: Jacob GROSS (JM11-14) – 72.06% for the time 19:41 (second overall). Yaron FAINSTEIN (VM40-44) – 69.94% for the time 19:31 (first overall). Brendon SELLERS (VM45-49) – 67.64% for the time 21:38 (4th overall).

SHAW who recorded 82.96% (19:51) on 17th December 2016 (event number 1). Underwood Park parkrun started on 17th December 2016. Since then 1,765 participants have completed 6,894 parkruns covering a total distance of 34,470 km, including 2,026 new Personal Bests.
Well. It might be a big week this week. Numbers have been steadily improving with the warmer weather, winter sport is nearly all finished and tomorrow is the start of the school holidays. To top it off, we have Parkrun royalty as the "Plus size Parkrunner" is going to join us. So get your shoes and barcode ready tonight and meet us at 6:45 for the first timers briefing or 6:55 for the official welcome. We are currently still in need of a barcode scanner and a photographer for tomorrow so if you wish to help out, please comment to this post. See you all tomorrow.
