Here are the most recent photos of our team helping people in #Aleppo and #Idlib who have fled their homes as the cold winter approaches — leaving their lives in danger. Over the last three days, our team on the ground has been distributing blankets, mattresses and plastic sheets. We have also been giving out food, water bottles and wheat flour to make bread. Assalamu Aalaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu Dear Community Leader / Member of the Community It is with a heavy heart that the Imam family informs you of the departure of their dear father Sheikh Fehmi Naji El Imam. Sheikh Fehmi passed away this morning Saturday 24th of September 2016 and his funeral service (Janaza Prayer) will take place tomorrow Sunday the 25th of September at the Umar Bin Al-Khattab Mosque (Preston Mosque) 90 Cramer Street, Preston, Victoria at 12:OOpm followed by the burial at Fawkner Cemetery (2:00pm), 1187 Sydney Rd, Fawkner. We do apologise for the short notice, however in keeping inline with Islamic practices and and at the request of the deceased we must perform the burial in the shortest time possible. The Imam family has also requested that when attending the mosque to do so in modest clothing, do not harm the neighbours by blocking driveways or parking inappropriately also that instead of flowers you make a donation on his behalf to a charity of your choice. The flowers will die however the charity will have a lasting benefit. As a large turn out is expected, early arrival is encouraged.
