Simon Phelps Photography
Description
Landscape photographer based in Port Hedland, Western Australia. As a pilot for the RFDS, I try to fit my photography in around my days off.
I'm primarily a landscape photographer but have been known to shoot the occasional portrait, wedding and special function. Being an aircraft buff, they also become a regular target of my camera!

Deadvlei Sentinal, Soussesvlei, Namibia So many photographic opportunites at this amazing location in Namibia. Still working my way through the plethora of shots from here in 2015
Few of the shots I took last weekend for Ladies Day at the Hedland Races 🐎
The long walk to Big Daddy, the largest sand dune in the Sossusvlei area at 325m. As well as the guy walking along the top of the front dune, you can see a group of people standing on the top of Big Daddy, giving a sense of scale. The Deadvlei clay pan lays at the base of these dunes.
We recently went up to Broome, for a flying visit, to play some masters AFL. As a family we went down to Cable Beach to watch the sunset and I managed to capture this silhoutte of my daughter admiring the setting sun.
Finally starting to get back into the photography gig after quite a break. Lots been happening here such as getting married, packing up and unpacking 3 houses and then welcoming our son Bodhi into the world on the 21st of April. Feels like both Shara and I are on permanent night shift at the moment. Any way here's a shot of the famous Crawley Boat Shed in Perth I took back in Dec 2016. With an approaching storm passing to the north of the city, the setting sun lit up the clouds quite nicely.
