Onslow Park Tennis Club
Description
Welcome to the Onslow Park Tennis Club. You will find a friendly group of people at the club and a great opportunity to play tennis either socially or competively. The club was founded in 1925 and is situated next to Rosalie Primary School on Onslow Road in the suburb of Shenton Park (within Rosalie Park - previously known as the Onslow Reserve). There are seven grass courts and four hard courts under lights, plus the all-important off-court social facilities. The ‘modern’ 1960s clubhouse has a unique and charming character, with views from the shaded veranda across the courts to Kings Park – perfect for relaxing after a workout.
With a mix of social and competition play, the club caters for all tennis interests, from league and night competitions to training sessions, socials, corporate events and junior programmes. Members can join in organised social play on Wednesday mornings (Rainbow Ladies), Wednesday evenings or Saturday afternoons, or can come and go as they please subject to court availability. There is also a strong Junior club and the club’s dynamic coach Matt Bull offers a great range of challenging and entertaining programs.
The season runs from the opening of the grass courts in October through to June, and the four hard courts under lights are available throughout the year.
You will find a friendly group of people at the club and a great opportunity to make friends and keep fit.
