facebook.comFun fact: in heritage character retention areas, council regulation can make it almost impossible to build/modify/extend/improve aspects of your home. We bought a late 1940's postwar home in a suburb that we loved ( and because I like a challenge. ) So far we have been knocked back by council twice on a proposed double carport and front boundary fence addition. A few late night written reports to council, 1000 emails and phone calls, and 90 days later we have just won Planning Approval on said carport and front boundary fence.
