30 minutes ago, we received a distressed call from a real estate agent client. Her data had disappeared; AND she has no backup! Did you know...? Mobiles are also computers and sometimes they just need a 'boot'! (Ctrl Alt Delete). If your mobile is freezing, don't throw it at the wall (but if you do, please call us to fix your screen!), force a shutdown and power up again. We have to give a #shoutout to Optus Bankstown. We went in on the weekend to buy a new iPhone 7+ and the advice they gave us was in our best interest. It may be widely known, but it hasn't been on our radar for a long time... while taking that advice today, we established bringing our son's mobile plan under our Optus plan meant we could share 20GB data with his 3GB (not that we'll tell him that!). A friend has refugee family that needs tech help and we need to do a stock-take before 30 June. So two-birds and one stone we start today taking advantage of counting, consolidating, tidying up and looking through parts to see how many phones we can put together. It's been like Christmas morning around here; we've forgotten what we have. We've asked the question a few times today, "do we really need to keep this?", but know as soon as it's thrown out we will need it. If you are consolidating your tech, please don't throw anything away, we'll happily take keyboards, mouse, power cords, old phones, tablets / ipads, computers, laptops, monitors... you name it. Received this iPhone 6S+ 36 hours after a swim in the toilet. Even though it arrived in a bag of rice, a significant amount of water is found inside. Dried it out and on the right angle, you can see the corrosion. Cannot emphasis enough how important it is to get water logged devices to a tech ASAP! Will this one make it? We'll see.
