Gariyan Silat is a independent school teaching the Malayan/Indonesian martial art Pencak Silat. Based in North Brisbane.

What is Gariyan Silat?
Gariyan Silat is a small substyle of the Malaysian/Indonesian martial art Pencak Silat.

It covers many aspects of close quarters combat, some of which include striking, grappling, joint and nerve manipulation, fighting with weapons or against weapons, multiple attackers, and de-escalation/escape techniques.

Gariyan Silat strongly promotes a flexible mind, and does not restrict practitioners from adapting or improvising learnt techniques when the situation does not match ideal conditions.

Instructor Josh Grace has over 10yrs experience teaching Gariyan Silat. He has trained law enforcement and military personnel, as well as private students from ages 16-63.

Private lessons are either one-on-one or in small classes, however if your company is interested in courses for larger groups they can be arranged.
