Before you run to check your calendars - yes it is January. But we wanted to share these photos and thank the fabulous team at Mitre 10 Kilmore and their very generous customers. Each year Mitre 10 erects a Christmas tree and invites customers to donate a gift for the kids at Miracle sMiles Retreat. Pat and Eman were delighted to pop along on Christmas Eve to collect the fabulous gifts, and accept a donation from the store. We are so grateful for your support Arlene and the Mitre 10 team, and our Kilmore neighbours.

Happy Christmas from all of us at Children First. Santa has been to the Miracle sMiles Retreat to visit Theresa, Kiko, Edward, Daniel, Trophimus, Pulei, Choity and her mum Shima, and of course our friend Eman. The Irish Christmas elf Pat Weldon has been busy decorating the house, as he does each year, and what better time to share some of his handiwork than on Christmas Day. We wish you all a wonderful day, and please stay safe.

This Christmas greeting from Dung and her family in Vietnam warmed our hearts. Dung was with us in 2014 when she had surgery with the Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide.

Santa's elves journeyed all the way from Mornington with a special delivery for the Miracle sMiles Retreat last week. Instead of a sleigh elves Jeremy Kidson and Lisa Reardon from Brooklands of Mornington Hotel arrived by car, jam packed with a donation of crisp white linen from the Hotel. This very welcome donation came about via Brooklands' association with Cabrini, one of the hospitals that generously provides pro-bono services to children assisted by the Foundation. Two of our Cabrini patients, Pulei and Theresa, were on hand to help unpack and stack. Retreat Manager Pat Weldon said the sheets, pillowcases, towels and handtowels are a very welcome addition to the Retreat that is home to up to 25 children each year. Soon after Christmas the children will be heading to Mornington where the Parishioners of St Macartan's hosts them each year. They're sure to catch up with our new friends at Brooklands of Mornington while they're there.
