HUB 3219 & HOMESTART provide the Geelong community and surrounds with affordable furniture, homewares, ceramic pieces and various arts and crafts projects. **HUB 3219 and HOMESTART are both social enterprises of Encompass Community Services**
ABOUT HUB 3219
Hub 3219 reflects an identified need in the local community to provide work experience in a team environment for people who are typically socially disengaged for extended periods and in many cases also have a disability or mental health issue. The participants at Hub 3219 develop skills in ceramics making, retail, warehousing, reupholstering and restoring of furniture.
The Ceramics Studio in particular, establishes opportunities for people to be creative, produce items to be purposeful and learn the basics of design toward enterprise. The hub is available for people of all abilities to explore the craft and find their own particular interests. Whilst doing this, Encompass Community Services will develop a gallery within Hub 3219 to showcase the work of these people, as well as providing advertised first exhibition opportunities.
The shop aims to provide employment to jobseekers with disabilities, and has a shop front where customers can buy ceramics, bunting, gorgeous hand-crafted items and funky upcycled pieces in a gallery type scenario.
Hub 3219 envisions to grow into a self-sustainable enterprise essentially offering training and employment opportunities for Encompass participants, as well as generating income through various income streams such as selling ceramics and through training and crafts session with local schools, adult classes, holiday programs, community groups or craft groups.

We welcome you to visit our shop, HomeStart, located at Hub 3219 (Unit 2, 181-185 Bellarine Hwy Newcomb 3219, just behind Thrifway).
As part of our commitment to assist those who may be disadvantaged in our local community, we offer furniture at very reasonable prices. We also offer discounts to concession card holders. Every purchase or donation you make, will help us give back to the Geelong community.
HomeStart is a pre-loved furniture store that will give a new home to your unwanted furniture.
We accept your quality donations. Please donate your furniture and household goods today. By donating to HomeStart, you support people in Geelong who are doing it tough, while reducing waste to landfills.
