Unley High School hosted the successful Career Expo which was well attended by Year 10 students from a number of local schools including Brighton Secondary School, Seaview High School, Mitcham Girls High School and Urrbrae Agricultural High School. Students were able to speak with representatives from Universities,TAFE and many other training providers.

This week is National Volunteers week which is a fantastic opportunity to say "Thanks" to all of the wonderful people from our community who volunteer to help make our school great. Volunteers help in many areas of our school including the Library and Canteen as well as our Governing Council, Rowing Club, Extra Curricular Sports, Parent Voice and Greek Parent's Committee.

Sturt Football Club Inc. - SANFL

Unley High School was well represented by two of our Year 11 students who sang the National Anthem at the beginning of the Anzac Day game held at Sturt Oval.

Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards

Unley High School old scholar Erin Fowler has been nominated in the Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards. We wish Erin the best of luck!

Unley High School celebrated Greek Independence Day on Monday with the help of our Greek Parents' Committee and students. At recess staff were entertained by traditional Greek dancing and had a selection of delicious sweets and Greek coffee to try. The Greek feasting continued at lunchtime with an offering of Souvlakia enjoyed by both students and staff.

Congratulations to the Unley High School Rowing Club for an outstanding Head of the River performance on Saturday. All of our entered crews made it through to the finals of their events. 12 of the 21 crews finished fourth or better in their races. Our crews achieved 2 firsts, 2 seconds, 3 thirds and 5 fourths overall. Congratulations to our winning crews - Year 9 Boys A crew and Senior Girls first IV.

Unley High School Sports Day 2017
