Judy Glover Dip.Couns. My approach to counselling blends conventional and alternative methods to create a holistic approach, individually tailored for you. Hi, my name is Judy Glover, I am a professional counsellor registered with the Australian Counselling Association and the founder of ADIA Counselling & Support Centre.

Are you experiencing a lack of purpose in your life?
Have you lost your adventurous spirit, your desire to grow, laugh and do new things?
Do you feel disconnected and emotionally blocked?
Are you feeling lost, as if you have forgotten your chosen path in life?
Maybe you are feeling hurt, angry, depressed, negative and scattered?
Are you facing overwhelming life circumstances and need help to cope with them?
Have you been affected by the life-long impact of adoption?

Do you wish to…
Understand “Who am I?”...  “Why am I here?”… and “Where am I going?”
Discover your authentic self;
Get unstuck, move forward with inner strength, a sense of freedom and choice;
Learn to establish healthy boundaries, and create healthy attachments and connections with others;
Expand your inner strengths through personal growth and empowerment?

My approach to counselling blends conventional and alternative methods to create a holistic approach, individually tailored to be most beneficial to you.

I draw upon a variety of techniques and styles to incorporate what will be most helpful to you.  I then work to support and guide you to identify and build upon your strengths to achieve your goals.

This includes the use of Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Inner Child and Voice Dialogue work in combination with alternative healing techniques including Crystal Therapy, Reiki, mindfulness meditation and breathing techniques.

I am now practicing at the Nambour Wellness Hub.
Call me to schedule an appointment on 0498 434 838.

I received this beautiful handmade card from Robyn and the other ladies who participated in the Mindfulness Mandala Drawing class on Saturday. It brought me so much joy to teach the class and see the shifts occurring in them as they created their Mandala - which is an outward expression of their internal self... I feel doubly blessed to have received this card... 🌺🙏🏼💜

In modern Australian society, it seems that grief and mourning are not something that we are comfortable expressing or witnessing. We are all a bit awkward and uncomfortable around someone who is feeling sad, let alone someone who is grieving a major loss in their life. If you are struggling with feelings of grief over a loss in your life and feel you need some support to get through, reaching out to a close friend, a mentor or a counsellor can be helpful. I offer a 20 minute obligation-free phone consultation for you to see how I can help you. Please call me on 0498 434 383 for a chat. http://www.adia.net.au/good-grief-thing/

I have had a couple of conversations this week about vulnerability. In particular, being disconnected from our vulnerability. Getting to know our Inner Child and other inner parts helps us to connect back to our authentic self. We grow in awareness about how we are feeling, what our needs and wants are and what is important to us. We feel more comfortable being vulnerable with ourselves and with others. This increases emotional intimacy with loved ones. It can be uncomfortable to go there with ourselves… but it is so worth it! Call me for a free 20 minute phone session to talk about getting to know your Inner Child. http://www.adia.net.au/move-shame-joy-vulnerability/

I bought a copy of You Can Heal Your Life when I was 18 years old. I've read it a few times since and have often dipped into it to re-read a passage that was relevant to what was going on for me at the time. Her cassette tapes were the first of their kind, I first learned progressive muscle relaxation meditation and the power of my thoughts listening to the sound of her voice. I never met her in person, but she was one of the most influential people in my life. Rest In Peace Louise. Thank you for your many blessings 💜

I had a fabulous session yesterday with my Inner Child & Voice Dialogue mentor. On the way home I stopped off at the shops to get a few things. While shopping I decided to connect with my Inner Child and ask her if she would like to help me with the shopping, as our Inner Children enjoy helping us when they can. Next minute, we were going into the handbag shop. Look what happened!

I'm back from my camping trip... the bush is so beautiful in this part of south east Queensland. It was a little frosty in the mornings, my tent actually froze solid one night! The days were stunningly beautiful, perfect for walks in the National Park. Enjoy these few pics...
