Can I or Can’t I? - Country Fire Authority
Conditions are cooler this week but be reminded we are still in the Fire Danger Period and fire restrictions still apply. That includes no burning off or campfires, for all the can and can't do's visit www.cfa.vic.gov.au/can
Despite numerous warnings from All Victorian Emergency Services about the dangers of illegal fireworks, both the MFB and CFA attended over 40 calls between 12am and 2am. Despite numerous fireworks being let off in Mt Eliza we were very lucky that none started any fires in the Mt Eliza area. Other CFA and MFB brigades were not so lucky, when they should of been celebrating the new year they were out fighting fires caused by fireworks. Thank you to all the Volunteers and Full Time Staff for their efforts last night. Happy New Year Everybody hopefully everybody have a safe and happy 2016.
