WINTER TRAINING MAROOCHYDORE CRICKET CLUB: Winter training starts this Wednesday 3rd May and every Wednesday thereafter until the end of August when we start preseason training. Times are from 3pm until 6ish. This training is for players who want to work on something and to improve their techniques. There are no expectations from me as to how often each player will come, it is entirely up to each person and their circumstances. Preseason training will start in earnest in September sometime. More info on that as we get closer to the season. I will be looking for players to step up and play higher grades as we have a few senior players not returning. I am excited by the prospect of young players getting opportunities, but young players will only succeed if they are prepared to work and commit. Maroochydore Cricket Club is the largest club on the coast with a larger talent pool to choose from than all other clubs. We will always compete and be competitive, but I want us to be successful. I want us to build on the success from last season and do even better next season. Even with the likes of club legend Shane Newton retiring I firmly believe that we the depth of talent to see us push for premierships in ALL GRADES. Enjoy your off season, Hope to see all of you at preseason training in September. Wayne Anderson. Senior Coordinator/Coach.
