Big Steps Campaign
We wouldn't normally post such political issues, however, the cost of childcare has been a hot topic this week and we feel it is extremely important to share such things with you. We need to ensure our children and families are exposed to educators with specific qualifications, expertise and who advocate for the early years. Political leaders in positions of power who obviously have such little understanding do not help in leading change across our country. 👊🏼

And we are back in action! We hope you all enjoyed a great festive season, and some well deserved down time 😊 We've had a busy start to the week with the welcoming of some new friends and some transitions between rooms - an important element of our practice is that of establishing safe and secure attachments, with you and your children. One thing that we like to use to guide this is the Circle of Security theory. This is based on the idea that adults are bigger, stronger and wiser than children and that we must ensure we support them to explore, discover and share in their delight. Here is a visual aid that we use to help us guide educators and parents to establish an understanding of the Circle. Adult = SECURE BASE 👌🏼
I just wanted to share a HUGE SHOUT OUT to our amazing, and ever passionate team of educators here at Mona Vale. We are officially ranked Number 1 in NSW, and Number 2 in the country for our Family Satisfaction rating - which could not have been achieved without the consistency and commitment that my team show each and every day. I am so lucky to be able to work with people like you all every day, and obviously our families value your work and dedication to their little people. Keep doing what you're doing, and enjoy the next few weeks of festive fun!

The sign of summer fast approaching! Water play is a favourite experience for our children, they particularly like to run through the spray of cool water and play with wet sand! ☀️

Our menu exposes children to a wide variety of beautiful, seasonal meals. Our cook, Carolyn stocks up the fridges and freezers with purée meals for our little ones, and will happily chat with you about what stages your baby is up to! 👶🏼
