If you want to beat the heat this weekend, try visiting the NGV Triennial and RMIT’s Roland Snooks’ large-scale installation, which is designed to transport audiences to Antarctica. This beautiful robotically constructed piece also features an immersive sound experience which was created using field recordings of Antarctic glaciers by sound artist Philip Samartzis.
