She's getting a bit dry out there as we head in to the tougher time of the year for Farmers. On the bright side - the flies have subsided to a manageable level and the country side still looks a picture.
Guernsey Cattle Society of Australia
Its a competitive little world this farming gig.... and once again our Guernsey A2 milk has come out at the top of the pile. Colin and his girls come in silver medal position. We maintain any one who maintains a rose garden next to their milking shed so the girls can give birth in nice surroundings deserves extra credit.

A quick shot of the shed - 5 bale and all the girls step up to get milked...(and I can honestly say Colin keeps it cleaner than some homes). That pipe from the holding tank to the back of the truck is the furthest the milk is pumped at any stage. Most of the rest of the process is done via Gravity and batch circulating tanks. This means FRESH!!

The joys of Farm Life - While every one in the Metro areas is moaning about the extended winter, farmers seem pretty happy about the whole thing. Almost as happy as the cows...
Good news all - they tell us the glass bottle supply will turn back on for the 14th of this month - so look for some time in the third week of October for the bottles to be making their way back in stores.
Yocomo
Gidday Team Grumpy. Other than running out of Glass Bottles in the State (still a few weeks away from been fixed), we have been busy here at Grumpy HQ. Last week we launched what we believe is a world first in Yoghurt. We have started it off with some partners in New Zealand, but the R&D was done right here in Perth. Its called Island Style - it take low fat cows milk and full fat coconut cream to give a healthy, protein packed, full fat yoghurt. We are in the process of the viability and timing of a launch here in Aus, but we can confirm the initial feed back out of NZ is the product ticks all the boxes... tastes great, looks great and is crazy healthy. Check out our face book page for it and hit like - we will be getting some branded swag over the coming months, and you never know... some could find its way to Perth. https://www.facebook.com/YocomoDairy/?fref=ts Have a great day!

Hi All - sorry for the short notice, but due to a fire in the factory that supplies our glass bottles, supply has dried up for a week or two... We have been looking for alternatives, but have no choice but to move to plastic until supply comes back on line - so bear with us for a week or two. We will still be working hard to bring you the freshest milk in WA.... Cheers - the (very) Grumpy Team
Smiles all round as milk rises to fresh new level
https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/lifestyle/food/a/32362715/the-grumpy-farmer/#page1 In light of the recent rough run the Dairy Industry has been getting in various parts of Aus - we are proud to be be doing our little bit to at least try and add a bit of value for some farmers.... We are not there yet however, so keep us in mind for your local stores and Cafes when you are talking with them. Cheers, The GF team.
Winter time = content cow and stroppy spoilt calves.
