Macquarie ICT Innovations centre
Description
MacICT provides statewide services to schools on the role of information and communication technologies in teaching and learning. MacICT provides teachers from government and non-government schools with BOSTES registered Professional Learning.
At MacICT we believe that learning how to use technology is not enough; the heart of 21st-century learning is about becoming a proficient and independent lifelong learner.
Engaging students in learning through design that involves critical, creative, design, systems and computational thinking skills coupled with connected learning will lead to the preparation of 21st-century collaborators, innovators, problem solvers and leaders.
Our activities promote this through an inquiry-based approach to learning where students are encouraged to collaborate and be creative in solving open-ended challenges.
