Catherine Harries has been a secondary school teacher for 14 years across years 7-12. During that time she has led significant changes in Literacy and Learning, Instructional Practice, Transition and Student Achievement and Assessment.
Catherine has worked with students requiring literacy support and has liaised with speech pathologists and primary schools in providing critical support to improve students’ literacy needs. Catherine has been a literacy coach and has helped to enhance teacher practice in the classroom.  During this time she has also worked with the Gifted and Talented student program to develop and deepen students work habits and skills.
Catherine’s interest in Early Years learning stemmed from her experiences with her own pre-school children who are both passionate and prolific readers.

Michelle Napolitano (B.A, Grad Dip.)
Co- Founder and Director of Key and Kite

Michelle Napolitano has been a primary school teacher for 10 years, from kindergarten to grade 3. She has worked in a range of different learning environments and roles, such as, a grade 1, two and three classroom teacher in Melbourne, teaching and supporting students in all disciplines, a team leader of a year 2 grade level, monitoring and supporting up to eighty student’s learning outcomes and needs, an early years Montessori educator in a birth to 5 year old school in Mantua, Italy, a year 1 to 3 educator at Aleardo Aleardi International School of Verona, Italy and an English tutor, working one on one with primary school students, high school students and adults.

Michelle has worked with students learning English as a second language and children of all learning styles and needs. She has a background in English Literature and creative writing and specialises in Early Years learning, such as developmental play, with years of training and experience in childhood development and teaching literacy and numeracy.
Michelle is a mother of two, and through her experiences as both an educator and a parent, is passionate about Early Years learning and providing educational support and learning opportunities to all children and families.
