PEGS Cricket Club is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this season and invites all past and present players, partners and friends of the club to a Gala Dinner on Saturday 19th November to celebrate this special milestone. The night will mainly be a reunion of old friends, teammates and families, along with presentation of a Team of the Half Century and display of club memorabilia. NOTICE FOR PEGS 70'S FRIENDS Brett and Voula Penberthy’s daughter, Melissa was 14 years old and passed away on Tuesday 4 October 2016 after a brave 2 and a half year battle with cancer. Her father Brett was in the Class of 1974 at PEGS. Brett Penberthy’s brother Leigh (1976) on behalf of Brett, wished to let PEGS know of Melissa’s passing and in particular if the school would be able to make contact with and let Brett’s old school friends know (some of whom are David Saunders, Jon Bentley, Peter Dewar, Tony Downward). If you are in touch with any of Brett's friends it would be appreciated if you could let them know. There is a funeral notice in today’s Herald Sun - A Service to celebrate the Life of Melissa Joan Penberthy will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church 255 Nelson Place Williamstown on Monday 10 October 2016 commencing at 2.00 pm. At the conclusion of the Service the Cortege will proceed to Williamstown Cemetery, Champion Road Williamstown for Burial. No flowers in lieu, donations can be made to My Room Children’s Cancer Charity. Refreshments will take place at Royal Victoria Motor Yacht Club - 260 Nelson Place Williamstown following the funeral. On behalf of the PEGS Former Students' Association and wider PEGS community our deepest sympathies go to the Penberthy's.
