Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects people from all walks of life. It is quite common, with approximately 80,000 Australians, including 27,000 Victorians living with Parkinson’s. At North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre we are currently developing an exercise program for people with a recent diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease. We will be drawing upon current research to guide us, as well as programs that are currently running at other Healthscope sites. Through the program we also hope to contribute to the growing body of evidence on this condition, helping both patients and clinicians make informed decisions. The program will be commencing in the second half of the year
