Description
My name is Peter David Jones and I am a Civil Marriage Celebrant and I am always honoured to be chosen to help a couple start their married lives together. I qualified for this role in January of 2009 and mid way through that month was honored to perform my first wedding. This was the marriage of one of my nieces and her fiancé and took place on the railway platform of the Ballarto railway station. This venue was amazing and the weather was perfect. The guests arrived by train and were greeted by the groom and his groomsmen and 20 minutes later the bride arrived in a vintage MG saloon with her bridesmaids. She was assisted from the car and following her bridesmaids, was accompanied by her father through an aisle created by her guests to join the bridal party. Now it was up to me to deliver the ceremony that we had created together; a ceremony that expressed this young couple’s love for each other, the commitment they wished to share with their family and friends and their hopes and dreams for their future together. Although I was a little nervous I managed to get through it and was keenly congratulated for doing a wonderful job.
This was not only a relief, but also the start of things to come. Since then I have performed a number weddings and now feel at ease in this role.

Hi all, just wanted everyone to know that I am currently in beautiful Rome on the last leg of an fantastic holiday. I will return to Australia on the 1st of February refreshed (hopefully) and excited about celebrating lots of wonderful weddings. Had the most amazing time celebrating a milestone birthday with my beautiful wife Lesley and at Christmas my two daughters and their respective husband and boyfriend joined us. Feeling very lucky.
