Description
Junior JAM is an early childhood music program. In a fun and supportive group experience the joy of watching your child develop and grow through music. Junior JAM is an inclusive music therapy program for children 0-6 years old, with and without special needs. Through music and musical play we develop the whole child, creating a love for singing, for dancing and playing. We play beautiful instruments and use props and puppets to engage and stimulate children's imagination and engagement.
Children with special needs are included and supported through the use of augmentative and alternative communication, parenting support and behavioural strategies.
Focussing on fun and the delight of singing and creating music we aim to create a sense of community and support for all parents and their children.

A big thank you to Grill'd healthy burgers in Balaclava for the $100 donation from their Local matters programme! Kay,Chiara,Maeve and I collected the cheque today and had a lovely burger there for lunch to celebrate! #Grilldhealthyburgers

'Let's beat the drum! ' at Junior JAM yesterday.
Don't forget Junior JAM is running through the holidays! We are on of the few activities still running at this time so come and join us on Thursday at 10am. "We're going on a bear hunt" was a big hit yesterday. The 'scary' bear got a few cuddles even so!!

Junior JAM has been awarded second place in the Grill'd Local matters program! This is a wonderful initiative by Grill'd restaurants to support other local programs and they are donating $100 to us. I invite you to come down on Thursday after our music session to be in the photo of us receiving the donation.
This week at Junior JAM we are having an Easter themed session. Hot Cross Buns for morning tea, signed and sung too, dancing to the Easter Bunny Hop and the ever popular Little Peter Rabbit song and an Easter egg hunt, of course!! Happy Easter, everyone!!

Junior JAM will continue through the Easter School Holidays! Due to popular demand I will continue to have sessions on Thursday 31st March and 7th April both at 10 am. We always have playtime and morning tea for the parents and children so come and join us for a coffee, musical play and songs. With many activities closing for the holidays it will be important to confirm your booking as soon as possible. Places are limited!

This is beautifully put together , a mini documentary almost, on the benefits of music by Catalyst. I recommend watching as I just did on iview if you missed it.
We continue to love Fuzzy the clown at Junior JAM ! It never fails to amaze me how it captures the children's imaginations. It is a wonderful example of anticipation in music and sequencing of actions. All thinks to the local composer Susie Davies Splitter. So joyful!
