Shorten argues against reducing restrictions on book imports
Perhaps it was easier 60 years so than it is now Tom Keneally... but I wholeheartedly agree on Labors position on this.

The Curious Case of the Dog And The Bathroom Door Scene 1: Cate discussing and working with client at table. Documents and paper spread out everywhere. Clients phone rings. Scene 2 :He takes call so Cate uses opportunity to go to the loo because there had been two cups of tea in the three hours she and client had been sitting together. So far so good. Scene 3: And then Clio (human owner extraordinaire) who had been perfectly behaved and out of the way on 'her' lounge chair decides that Cate needs company and pushes door open while Cate is 'in situ' ... Can you imagine what happens next???? Cate could too - for those moments until she could get up and rush to shut the door. Thank goodness imagination was worse than actuality ... Actuality meant nothing happening I might add!! Client stayed at the desk on the phone for the duration. But oh my goodness. Investing in a lock for the door I think!

Actually, I had no Grandparents still kicking when I was born. I had to rely on a 63 year old father and 44 year old mum for family history. Then Dad died when I was 11 and I had never asked him anything relevant to family history. So I was determined to find out what I could from Mum. And it was an epic fail. She refused, point blank, to tell me anything. And so I became a sticky beak as I trawled for information. Which brings me to the reason for this post. IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE ANYONE IN AN OLDER GENERATION WILLING TO TALK TAKE NOTES, USE A VOICE RECORDER, ANYTHING ... cause you don't know when you will lose the opportunity.
Between the Crosses
Please help build the National Boer War Memorial in Canberra. We have an excellent one locally in Gunnedah and it would be nice to see this wonderful sculpture near the War Memorial.

It is Remembrance Day tomorrow the 11 November. If you can, pause for a moment at the 11th hour (11am) and think of those who have given their life for their country. Also think of those that have come back damaged because of that service, and honour them. Lest we forget.

Well. My work is almost done. The words are off to graphic design ... glad Vic was happy. Sure he will be even happier when we get back the final product next year. So, guess that means I am looking for work. Anyone got any memoirs that they would like written 😀.
