We organise, plan and keep our members informed about upcoming events and matters of interest to the Turkish Cypriot community living in NSW.

My next Untold Story (6th) is that of an iconic gentleman in the Turkish Cypriot community. He was known to everyone as "Kahveci Fuat". For many years, he ran the Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Derneği (NCTA) clubhouse during the early years where every Sunday families would gather to meet. The Northern Cyprus Turkish Association NSW. Untold Stories of Journeys from our Past: Is a collection of stories from some of our earliest Turkish Cypriot immigrants made up of interviews, each person relating their own unique story. Some of these early immigrants came out to Australia looking for a better way of life and opportunities, some to escape the problems Cyprus was enduring at the time and some to marry someone they had met simply by a photo. But whatever their reason, they came , with only a suitcase to their name, knowing little or no English, having few or no friends, no job, no home, to a foreign land, searching for what they hoped was a better way of life. I am documenting these stories not only to preserve them for future generations but as a way of recognising the struggles of the early immigrants and to ensure history is preserved.
