We're getting ready to make a few hundred bacon and egg rolls, pancakes and sausage sandwiches at our Big BBQ breakfast. There will be camel rides, car show, thong throwing competition, face painting and stage entertainment. Join in the fun! BBQ Breakfast Our Community BBQ Marquees will be located on both Ted Jackson and James Meehan Reserves serving from 7am and 8am respectively, until Midday. The early bird gets the worm! Water refill stations will be located at our event so remember to bring your own reusable water bottle. Live Entertainment Live entertainment kicks off at 8am on Ted Jackson Reserve: 8.00am - Luke Escombe 8.40am – Official Welcome 9.15am - So What Band 10.15am – Southern Cross Bush Band 11.30am – VOLKY 12.15pm – Australia Day Ambassador Address by Australia Day Ambassador, Arash Bordbar 12.30pm – Raffle Winners Announcement 1pm – Lambrou Bros Car and Bike Show Enter your car or bike in the Show for $5.00. Road Closure A road closure will be in place from 12noon, 25 January through until 4pm, 26 January along The Strand, from Dee Why Parade to Oaks Avenue. Howard Ave, from The Strand to Clyde Road, will be managed access to residents only. Dee Why Beach - 9pm Road closure in place between 4pm and 10pm at: - The Strand from Oaks Avenue roundabout to Dee Why Parade roundabout - Howard Avenue from Clyde Road to The Strand Alcohol Free Zones Alcohol prohibited zones are in place along Manly harbour foreshore from 4pm daily, Dee Why Beach and reserves from 10pm to 8am and at Rowland Reserve from 6am on 31 December 2017 until 6am on 1 January 2018. Getting There Visitors are encouraged to come by foot or public transport to avoid congestion. Check transportnsw.info for transport options, as additional buses will be available immediately after the event.
