HAVE YOU PROTECTED YOUR ESTATE? DO YOU HAVE A WILL? The team at Maleys have experience with all aspects of drafting Wills, obtaining Probate and administering estates. A Will, or testamentary disposition, is a written instruction about what you want to happen to your possessions when you die and who you want to benefit and who you want to implement those instructions. It can also include instructions regarding burial and what should happen to any assets you may hold on behalf of others as trustee. If you die without a Will, you die intestate, which means your property will be distributed among your next of kin in accordance with State legislation enacted to cover this eventuality. This time is always a very emotional and stressful time for your family and without a Will it can sometimes cause further unnecessary pain. If you have a Will before you marry then that Will becomes void when you marry. You must do a new Will. A Will protects your spouse and children and their entitlements to your estate. You should always change your Will should your personal circumstances change.
