Description
Highlands parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am. Highlands parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am inside Stockland's Highlands community, located in the suburb of Craigieburn, 27km north of Melbourne's CBD.
parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan.
It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

A big thank you to everyone for making this weeks kids parkrunday a great success. Especially our amazing junior parkrun volunteers. Once again they did themselves proud, and made it another fun morning of parkrun. This week 139 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 9 were first timers and 15 recorded new Personal Bests. It's here again, and we're excited. Kids parkrunday, where all the volunteer roles are filled by our brilliant junior parkrunners. But don't let their youth fool you, they're experienced hands at this parkrun business, and are excited and ready to help you fulfill your parkrun passion. So they'll meet you at parkrun pergola, next to the windmill, and playground, @ 7:50 for an 8:00 start. Everyone is welcome, from walkers to runners, and all in between.
