A new craft room for an existing client. Client brief: To create a new purpose built area within an existing room with plenty of work space and storage. We divided an existing open formal lounge and dining area and converted it into 2 living spaces. This involved building new walls and getting the dimensions correct to ensure the 2 new areas were fit for purpose. We plastered with acoustic plaster and insulated the internal dividing wall to ensure noise transference was minimised from the new TV room to the craft room. We replaced the old carpet with new laminated flooring that is both hard wearing and resistant to chemicals. These come with a 15 year warranty and are extremely resilient to wearing in high traffic areas. We also replaced the existing baton light with 4 led down lights and increased the power points in the room to 5. We also included a cat6 lead for hard-wired internet connection. The air-conditioning outlet was relocated to ensure maximum efficiency and as to not interfere with the new cabinetry. The walls were painted using Dulux Wisteria White and the skirts and architraves painted in Dulux Hogs Bristle 1/4 strength. We custom built joinery in Polytec white to our client's requirements and added a white metallic pegboard for hanging scissors and ribbons. The benchtop was made from Polyrey white laminate which is chemical resistant, sanitised antibacterial treated and hold eco-certified credentials. The benchtop was complemented with satin chrome legs.

Kitchen renovation in Moorabbin. Client brief: Open up the kitchen space and create extra storage, with a fresh look. Our kitchen was designed using our 3D software which enabled our client to visualise the finishes and the space. All doors, drawers and panels are vinyl wrapped and Australian Made in Licorice Linea Gloss vinyl. All doors and drawers have Hettich soft close mechanisms and a soft close duel pull out bin has been carefully built into the design. A stone benchtop with waterfall end has been installed using Caesarstone Nimbus. The splashback was created from 300x300 Stratos Bianco polished porcelain tiles supplied by National Tiles. Our client supplied appliances from Bunnings Warehouse which included a pyrolytic stainless steel oven, offering great value and adding to the quality finishes.

Shower renovation. Due to poor waterproofing the old tiles had come off the wall and the plaster had collapsed. We stripped the wall back, replastered, rewaterproofed and retiled. This also gave the client an opportunity to install a wall niche within the shower. Rather than keeping the old shower screen, we updated it to a new semi flameless and increased the height. We also replaced the exhaust fan above the shower as it was not working with a new energy efficient model.
