It was an honour to join Board Members Bev Smith and John Skewes yesterday for the official planting of the tree purchased with the funds donated by SWDC to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Colac Botanic Gardens. It's a Fraxinus Griffithii, or Evergreen Ash. Located at the south-eastern end of the playground, it will not only provide lovely shade, but also has fragrant, white flowers. Thanks to the Gardens Staff and the Friends of the Botanic Gardens for the great job you do to give us such an amazing treasure to enjoy!
