Apprenticeships in Construction - Helping to Solve A Complex Issue TCQ Construction has taken a position to endorse, pilot and subsidise a customised programme that informs school students (years 10 to 12) of the opportunities available to them within the construction industry. The programme transfers down to earth practical knowledge of the industry to both students and parents whilst working closely with secondary school Careers Advisors. TCQ hope catching young school leavers earlier, in years 9 and 10 and informing them on the positive aspects of the construction industry will prove to be a productive strategy. The benefits of the programme are three fold: 1. Reduce the shortage of apprentices within the construction industry. 2. Help young school leavers get a job. 3. Give our adolescent youth personal esteem and avoid social and community welfare issues. TCQ encourages interested parties, particularly secondary school Careers Advisors to be part of this ambitious and exciting programme. Another example of TCQ's versatility. Recently completed refurbishment works within the heritage listed Turner Hall at Ultimo TAFE. This is the the third project we have completed for TAFE NSW in recent years, showing their confidence in TCQ's construction knowledge and ability to turn their vision into reality.
TCQ strengthens it's relationship with NSW Health (North Sydney Local Health District), being again appointed the Principal Contractor to reconstruct Ward 2, Critical Care Unit, High Dependency Unit and Outpatient Unit. This awarded contract follows on from two previous projects completed at Ryde Hospital including Heritage works at Denistone House and construction of a new Surgical and Aged Care Ward.
TCQ has recently been appointed the Principal Contractor to construct a new $3 million library at Galston High School. Works will commence shortly and we look forward to providing the level of construction excellence for which we are renowned.
