We've just discovered the 18ft 6in Escape by Tango Caravans. Well, future models will be 18ft 8in to give a bit more space in the bathroom. Either way, at less than $50K, we think we have found a new contender for 'best value van in Australia'.
Out and about with the Jayco Australia Freedom campervan. Overall, it's a neat package. The Hiace is a capable base vehicle, too.
Congrats to Dave Forsythe, the winner of our recent solar panel competition! We asked for stories about running out of 12V power and we can probably all relate to Dave's: "Second battery in the car went flat after camping on the Murray River for a week, tried to charge it up with the engine running but I upset my mate who had a baby sleeping in a tent nearby, so I had to move the car further away from our tent, which meant the fridge was further away too!"
