3D & Paper Animal Fun Shoot

All bow types invited recurve, compound, longbow & crossbows Summary of format/rules for the night: • 20 Target round – a mixture of 3D animal and paper animal targets • Two shooting divisions – o sighted bows 10-45 m o unsighted bows and novice archers (15m handicap) 10-30m • Minimum age of 12 years • Crossbows max 150lb and require official check, appropriate documentation/permit etc. • Normal field points and target points only • Bring Binoculars if you have them (no tripods) • Groups of 3-4 per target (subject to numbers) • Each group will have a scorer, arrow puller and group captain to ensure group’s safety • Missed/lost arrows will be retrieved upon completion of shoot • Winners – top scores of sighted and unsighted division presented with an Archery Equipment Voucher Note* All usual AIM safety requirements apply to this shoot including No equipment is to have an arrow loaded and no crossbows are permitted to be cocked except when all archers are behind the shooting line and the archer is aligned with their target. Congratulations Hugo Lobb! After achieving 3 Gold medals last week at AA’s 2017 Youth Nationals, Hugo headed to the 2017 National Safari Championships and achieved… - Junior Bowhunter Recurve ABA National Champion - Junior Bowhunter Recurve 3D National Champion - Axe throw 1st - Knife throw 3rd We've been told it was a really tough course especially the 3D. Hugo has a fabulous attitude and we're so pleased to see his hard work being rewarded. Personally I'm thrilled as we've worked together over the past 9 months and I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of his growth and development.

2017 Youth Nationals have been held this week, we're proud of our participating members and their results in trying weather conditions ... special re Hugo who has just joined AA and has adjusted from yards to mtrs brilliantly. Well done to you all!

Waverley Archery Club Double 720 held last Sunday ... 3 of our members participated and all achieved great results. Especially excited for Hugo as it was his first AV tournament as a practice run as he has entered the AA Youth Nationals commencing next week. Results were: WCA Double 720 Grand Prix results ... Cub Male Recurve 1st Arunav Chatterjee Cub Male Barebow Recurve 1st Hugo Lobb Open Male Recurve 2nd Ben Howell Great job guys!!!

You've heard of horse bows ... I've tried out our scooter bow ... lots of fun. One of our fantastic members donated this scooter to assist those with difficulty walking to the longer distance targets - such generous and thoughtful donation, thank you!
