108 Squadron Australian Air Force Cadets
Description
Facebook page of 108 Squadron Australian Air Force Cadets (Charters Towers) for communicating information to its members, parents and potential recruits. The Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) is a youth development organisation administered and actively supported by the Royal Australian Air Force, open to young Australians aged 13-17 who can then remain in the organisation until they turn 20.
The aim of the AAFC is, by predominantly voluntary effort, to better equip young people for community life by fostering initiative, leadership, discipline and loyalty through a training programme which is also designed to stimulate an interest in the Royal Australian Air Force.
Some activities undertaken by the AAFC include flying, gliding, fieldcraft, adventure training, firearms safety training, drill and ceremonial and aeromodelling.
