One of my most favourite instruments Dad ever made, luckily it is my beautiful fretless bass. Miss you very much my father. I had to take photos of it for a uni assignment so I couldn't help but share one of the beautiful pieces the Dad created.
Started putting the bits in!!!!
I put strings on it, it's pretty sweet for an oldy that hasn't been played for many years that still has no electricals in it and the strings are just an old set to set it up. I'm very happy with it so far.Think I might do some Rawnchi practice on it before I take the strings back off, see how it holds up to some abuse...
It's nearly there I just have the electrical and the set-up left. One day it will be finished fingers crossed it plays ;-)
Brand new machine heads on my Jaguar the process had started :-)
My Baby Blue is back alive. I will have to eventually sand back the fingerboard and recoat it due to a bit if damage in the process but it's minimal and I'm very happy with it considering its my first ever full refret and I did it on my Strat totally unassisted. Very proud of the end result :-)
The new frets are in now to file, file, file sides bits smooth. Fingers crossed at this point. My baby blue will live again!!!
The frets are out nice and cleanly. Now to put them in as soon as I can!!!!
