Marine Med - created & delivered by paramedics who are avid boating and fishing enthusiasts, our 4 hour workshop has been designed to provide critical lifesaving knowledge and skills to the fishing and boating environment. The skills and knowledge are for ‘real world’ situations and are not typically taught in any first aid course. From dealing with common problems such as how to remove an embedded hook, manage dehydration, marine bites & stings, recognition of the 'bends' or how to control life threatening blood loss. This 4 hour workshop is an absolute must for anyone who lives, plays or works on or near water. We also offer the nationally recognised unit of competency for First Aid (HLTAID003) but have contextualised this program to include the Marine Med specific content.
